FLORIDA REAL ESTATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

All applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma
or its equivalent and meet the qualifications of Chapter 475.15 Florida
Statutes. Below are additional requirements to obtain your license:
Real Estate Associate:

1. Successfully complete a FREC approved pre-licensing course
for sales associate consisting of 63 classroom-hours and covering topics
required by FREC. Online course is permissible.
2. Submit a completed Application, Electronic Fingerprints Record, and
fee of $105 payable to DBPR-Division of Real Estate. See below for fingerprint
fee..
(you may submit this package prior to completing step #1)
3. Pass the Florida Real Estate Sales Associate examination with a grade
of at least 75
Real Estate Broker:

1. Successfully complete a FREC approved pre-licensing course
for brokers consisting of 72 classroom hours and covering topics required
by FREC. Online course is permissible.
2. Submit a completed application, Electronic Fingerprints Record, and
fee of $115 payable to DBPR-Division of Real Estate. (you may submit this
package prior to completing step #1)
3. Pass the Florida Real Estate Broker Examination with a grade of at
least 75.
4. Hold an active real estate sales associate license and complete 24
months real estate experience during the preceeding 5 years.
You need to have your fingerprints done digitally and you
can go to the web site www.pearsonvue.com to find out information on the
locations. The price varies among which vendor is used.
